When Fabio Zomparelli sought an e-bike capable of keeping pace with his adventurous spirit and his wife’s companionship, the PVY Z20 MAX delivered beyond expectations—transforming rugged mountain trails into shared pathways of joy. As the family’s third e-bike, the Z20 MAX stood out with its game-changing double battery, granting the range and power needed for demanding 40–60 km hill and mountain rides on mixed terrains. Whether navigating rocky paths above Lake Garda or cruising through vineyard-dotted hills of Brescia, this foldable, torque-sensing e-bike blends versatility, comfort, and rugged performance—proving that even a “city e-bike” can redefine off-grid exploration. For Fabio, his wife, and their family of cycling enthusiasts, the Z20 MAX isn’t just a bike; it’s the key to unforgettable adventures and everyday togetherness.

PVY Z20 MAX
How would owning a PVY E-BIKE change your lifestyle?
The Pvy Z20 Max e-bike allows my wife to follow me on long, beautiful rides in the hills and mountains, thanks to the great range of the double battery. It wouldn't have been possible with the bike she had before this e-bike, but the Z20 Max has given us more time together, filled with lots of fun and shared happiness.
How long have you been riding and is this your first ebike?
The Z20 Max is our third e-bike. I've always used mountain bikes to keep fit and for rides in the countryside or mountains. Our family still has a passion for cycling and we own six bikes, three of which are pedal-assist. The Pvy Z20 Max arrived two months ago and everyone in the family loves it. My wife uses it to accompany me on about two trips a week and has ridden 800 km to date.
What was your motivation or rationale to get an ebike and what were the most important factors in your consideration or selection process?
I was looking for an e-bike that was very versatile, foldable, comfortable with front and rear shock absorbers, generous torque and a torque sensor, great range, and 20-inch wheels. It needed to be powerful enough to tackle even moderately challenging routes, but not too tall and easy for my wife to use. With all this I found the Pvy Z20 Max, and we're all happy in the family.
How do you use your PVY bike - commuting, running errands, fitness, recreation, or all of the above? Tell us how you enjoy your ride.
The Pvy Z20 Max is used 90% for recreation and fitness on long trips of over 40-60 km in the hills and mountains on dirt roads and scenic routes
Have you ever met up to ride with other PVY owners?
On 4 or 5 occasions I came across other Pvy e-bikes on the road but I was not lucky enough to be going in the same direction and we did not manage to talk.
What are your thoughts about the role of cycling and ebikes in a more sustainable future?
E-bikes undoubtedly have and will increasingly play an important role in sustainable mobility, and recent models demonstrate the significant and ongoing development of innovation in the sector, allowing an ever-increasing number of users to reach places and distances that were previously unthinkable or reserved for elite cyclists. Now everyone can enjoy highly versatile, portable, and easy-to-use models for work, commuting, errands, fun, exploration, and travel.
What has been your greatest or most memorable adventure with your PVY?
During these two months with the Z20 Max, the most memorable and exciting rides were two during the summer holidays: the first, just 36.2 km long, was on mountain dirt trails, usually only ridden by mountain bikes, with an elevation gain of 1,090 meters and splendid views between Lake Garda and Lake Ledro, in the province of Trento (Italy). For this occasion, I had made small modifications, mostly to the tires, to the Z20 Max to allow my wife to follow my e-mountain bike on this challenging outing on mixed dirt trails, sometimes soft and sometimes hard, with gravel, dirt, cobblestones, and some stretches of asphalt. I must say that I was impressed by the excellent performance of the Z20 Max, which is primarily a city e-bike.
The second, five days later, was a 61.7 km route with an elevation gain of 466 meters, crossing the Valtenesi hills, through woods and vineyards that lead from the city to Lake Garda, but this time along the coast of the province of Brescia (Italy).
I have beautiful photos of both routes, as well as the recorded data and performance data.
Anything else you would like to share about your PVY or your experience with it?
After the first 800 km, including these last two routes, which range from challenging to medium/easy, I can confidently say that for me the Pvy Z20 Max is an e-bike with an unbeatable quality/price/versatility ratio. Excellent hydraulic brakes, simple yet functional dual suspension for comfort on various terrains, the dual battery that provides fearless assistance on long rides, excellent maneuverability, the torque sensor, the good motor power that, while remaining within the legal limits, provides a great level of torque, a sturdy frame that is also foldable for improved portability, and, overall, the good quality components, are the reasons that convinced me before and after purchasing it. Obviously, it cannot excel in all scenarios compared to more expensive e-bikes, especially the most expensive e-mountain bikes, but it must be considered that, on the less demanding routes for which it was designed, it also offers superior performance and versatility! From my tests, which at times took it a bit beyond its intended purpose, I conclude that it doesn't look out of place at all and, with some due care, proper maintenance, and even necessary some thoughtful modifications as the choice of tires and type of handlebar, it enjoys enviable usability. An excellent product for those seeking quality and versatility at a fair price. Every time we use it in family, we come away happy.
